Week as a Rover

The last 7 days have been a big week for Rovers. The Easter holiday saw 2 games fall within the week, playoff pushers Derby on Friday the 18th and relegation rivals Millwall on Monday the 21st.
Going into the game at home to Derby, live on Sky, many thought Rovers needed just 1 win from their remaining 4 games would see us safe. However, Derby were just too strong for the weakened Rovers side, missing Lucas Neill, James Husband and Richie Wellens.
With Derby winning 2-0 many fans questioned performances, especially of super star Billy Sharp who doesn't appear 100% fit.

Despite the loss which many expected, we were all hopeful for the all important win away to Millwall.
Again missing the three absent through injury,  with Theo coming in to replace Billy in the starting lineup.
Rovers were under pressure from Millwall before a horrible ref decision saw Meite sent off for a 50/50 challenge,  worthy of at worst a free kick.
We had every right to feel bad with a second half penalty appeal turned down.
With backs against the wall Rovers held on for a 0-0 draw and an important point.

Dickov said he hopes to appeal against the Meite red card, however there has been no official word.
Edit: Rovers placed an appeal against this red card and Meite has been cleared to play

With Rovers currently sat in 19th with just 1 point above the drop zone. However, there is a two team cushion of Birmingham (who have a game in hand) and Millwall.

So onto the next game when Reading visit the Keepmoat. Also Leicester have been crowned champions, so maybe they will be in party mode for the final game of the season.

So how do I feel?
I feel like a win with our remaining games will be tough to get, however I'm not sure if it's needed, Yeovil and Barnsley look as good as gone and with Blackpool's off field problems I think they are in trouble too.

So what has happened for thedonnypop this week?
Well the app has been downloaded over 40 times, if you haven't got it yet and own an android phone, you can download it from Amazon and Samsung app stores for free by searching for 'thedonnypop'.

We have also brought out a new article called look alikes and I would like to feature some of your ideas on that.

What's next?
I'm not too sure what the next article will be, remember you can send in your articles and see them on the blog, featured on our website, blog and app.
What I do know though is soon I will release the first of a two part interview with an ex Rover, it is a great read, nearly finished and just want to get more awareness before it is released.

Remember,  you guys and gals are thedonnypop, without an audience there is nothing. I wouldn't be writing without you guys reading, and I hope soon more people get involved and write abit too.
