Quick Review

It's Monday, two days on from being relegated to League 1 and I would like to share my thoughts upon this season.

TheDonnyPop will be putting up a full season review written by a fan who has witnessed every game this season.

In the mean time here is my views.

This season is a failed mission, we set out at the difficult challenge of avoiding relegation this season and we didn't do it.
However, I am a proud Rover. Why? Because we was relegated by goal difference on the final day of the season. The players have put up a good fight this campaign and we have shown once again we can put up a fight with the big boys.

What if?
I can ask what if for nearly every game this season, but we cannot change anything. It has been a truly tough season for Dickov and boys.

We have been unlucky with Injuries,  it would be hard to prevent injuries to the likes of Forrester and Jones, who could of been key players this season.

We have been unlucky with ref decisions, I'm not going to name them all because I don't know them all, but just in the last game. Was it a penalty?  Maybe, maybe not, but it was given and converted.

Charlton, let's face it we knew that game would haut us, took the momentum out of the team in my opinion,  knocked confidence of a few including theo.

Dickov, well we can blame tactical choices but he will of learnt from this season. His signings have been top drawer, Tamas, Meite, Turnbull, Johnstone and many more.

The takeover, distracted abit this year, hopefully it's past now and old news.

Overall a tough year and we have gone down fighting, on to the next one. Some good derby games to look forward to and maybe a party.
On a slight positive note, we're back in the JPT!

Like I said, a proper season review will be written by a fan who has not missed a game this season. I would also love to hear your views!

Remember,  it might be the end of the season for the team, but not for thedonnypop, as we will continue to bring you new content throughout the summer. We will look at transfers and gossip.
